Players are expected to respect teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and families; listen and give their best effort; follow safety rules; and be a positive teammate.
Effort and teamwork
- Arrive ready to learn, listen, and work.
- Encourage teammates and put the team ahead of individual attention.
- Accept coaching with a growth mindset.
- Practice good sportsmanship in wins, losses, mistakes, and difficult moments.
Safety responsibilities
- Follow every coach instruction and equipment rule.
- Never intentionally try to injure another player.
- Use the technique taught by coaches and stop when instructed.
- Tell a coach immediately about an injury, pain, illness, dizziness, or other symptom.
Behavior
Players must use appropriate language, keep hands and words respectful, control emotions, and care for uniforms, equipment, fields, and facilities. Fighting, bullying, profanity, taunting, arguing with officials, and unsportsmanlike conduct are not permitted.
Consequences
Depending on the behavior, consequences may include coaching correction, a warning, reduced playing time, removal from a practice or game, suspension, or further Board action. Serious behavior may result in immediate removal.
