A Team Aide must be related to a player or coach—such as a parent, guardian, sibling, or other family member—and must always work under the direction and supervision of an approved coach.
What a Team Aide may do
- Assist with drills when an approved coach gives direction and remains present.
- Help set up, organize, carry, and collect equipment.
- Support administrative needs such as snacks, scorekeeping, schedules, logistics, or team events.
- Help distribute information that comes from a coach or program coordinator.
What a Team Aide may not do
- Make coaching, playing-time, lineup, discipline, or safety decisions.
- Lead a practice, teach athletes independently, or act as a substitute coach.
- Supervise athletes without an approved coach present.
- Participate in team activities outside the direction of the coaching staff.
Registration and conduct
An aide who communicates with the team or regularly supports team activities must complete volunteer registration and be listed on the team roster. Every aide must follow Jr Pacers policies, the Code of Conduct, and the directions of approved coaches.
A Team Aide may be reassigned or removed from the role if boundaries, safety expectations, or conduct standards are not followed.
